Well Connected now has our own in-house gardener! If you need a helping hand to do some basic maintenance around the house, or would like some much needed respite, our gardener will be happy to help keep your home looking neat and tidy.
This is available for both plan managed and self managed participants, falling under the house or yard maintenance NDIS support category. Note, that this is NOT required to be stated in your plan to be claimable (much misinformation exists, even within the NDIS call centre).
The money that goes into your plan is bound by a different set of rules/law compared to how you are allowed to spend it. While the NDIS uses Section 34 of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act to determine what goes into your NDIS Plan (the “Reasonable and Necessary” guidelines), participants (yourself) will use Section 5.1/5.2 of the NDIS Rules to decide how it can be spent. In this case, you can use the “Can I Buy It?” list to decide whether you can utilise your NDIS funds in this way.
